About Primary Tutor Online

My name is Lisa Mead, and I have extensive experience in both teaching and tutoring, having worked across state and private education sectors, in the UK and overseas. This breadth of experience has given me a strong understanding of different curricula, learning styles, and educational expectations, as well as the importance of consistency, clarity, and high-quality instruction.

Over time, I have learned that children thrive best when they feel supported, understood, and confident within a calm, structured learning environment. 

Not every child learns in the same way, and effective tuition needs to balance flexibility with clear routines, expectations, and teacher-led guidance.

Primary Tutor Online was set up to offer teacher-led, curriculum-aligned online lessons, delivered primarily through online group tuition, with one-to-one tutoring available where appropriate. Online group sessions allow children to learn collaboratively, build confidence, and benefit from professional teaching, while keeping lessons affordable and accessible for families. 

One-to-one tuition remains available for families who require a more personalised approach.

Whether a child is home educated or attends mainstream school and joins lessons after school, my approach remains the same: clear teaching, encouragement, and steady progress. Lessons are carefully planned, well organised, and designed to support both academic development and confidence.

I place a strong emphasis on safeguarding, professionalism, and clear communication with parents. Families can expect transparency, consistency, and a well-structured online learning experience.
